Welcome to The Langtree Trust
The Langtree Trust.
The Trust was set up in December 1963 by Alan and Ethel Timpson who had retired to Amberley.
Alan Timpson had owned and worked at the Timpson Shoe factory in Northamptonshire. At the same time as establishing the Langtree Trust Mr and Mrs Timpson set up another separate charity in Northamptonshire to benefit the area where he had worked. In the first years of The Langtree Trust it was chaired by Alan Timpson and supported mainly local concerns.

Our Mission
The Langtree Trust seeks to help locally based organisations in the county of Gloucestershire, with priority to those in Stroud District that provide valuable community support services to disadvantaged people.
Grant Criteria
The Trust welcomes applications for grants related to projects that directly benefit the local community. Applications for grants related to buildings or the environment will be assessed on their impact for local community benefit. Grant amounts typically range from £250 to £750, but we are open to considering requests ranging from £50 to £1,000, depending on the project's scope and impact.
Our Focus
Given our commitment to supporting local initiatives, large national organisations are unlikely to qualify for funding. Instead, we prioritise projects that address the specific needs of our community, particularly those related to community support services for disadvantaged individuals. While we value education, individual applications for educational purposes are not typically considered in our grant allocation process.
Thank you for your interest in The Langtree Trust. We look forward to reviewing your application. Should you have any questions or require further assistance, please feel free to contact us.
