Langtree Trust

Purpose/objective of the Charity:

To help locally based organisations in the County of Gloucestershire which provide valuable community support services to disadvantaged people with priority to those in the Stroud District

Special notes:

Applications for grants related to buildings or the environment will be assessed on their impact for local community benefit.

Given the purpose/objective above large national organisations are unlikely to qualify for funding.

Individual applications for education are not usually considered.

Current grant-making practice:

The Trustees meet four or five times a year to decide grant allocation.

In exceptional circumstances a grant may be made between meetings.

Grants are typically in the range £250 – 750 but can be from as little as £50 to £1000.

How to apply:

By letter, to the Secretary at the address below giving a simple, clear statement of the need with the costs of the project, what funding has so far been achieved and, if not available on the Charity Commission website, a recent copy of the annual accounts.
